I hope this continues to get tracked for at least a few weeks. We can see how effective right-wing propaganda is at moving the needle. I expect within the next week or two a majority of pubs will no longer be concerned by it. The only question is by how much.

I assume you are referring to Whiskeyleaks ? I am glad that a majority of even Republicans have to admit this is a serious problem. I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, the point of using Signal in this case being to conceal and destroy what should be preserved. trump and the Supreme Court have normalized the destruction of public records ( flushing, eating, burning, and disappearing ) public documents.

I wonder—even if people are reacting negatively to this, I wonder how much it reflects on Trump himself.

My unsubstantiated claim is that a counter factual scandal involving Dem advisors would reflect poorer on their principals than a scandal of Republican advisors on their principal.

Also it shows the incompetence of the other members of the group too. These people are really amateurs. The group members: Marco Rubio ( Secretary of State), JD Vance (Vice President), John Ratcliffe (Director CIA), Tulsi Gabbard (Director, National Intelligence), Scott Bessent (Secretary of Treasury), Stephen Miller (White House Deputy Chief of Staff), Steve Witkoff (US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Susie Wiles (Chief of Staff) and Michael Waltz (National Security Advisor). This is amazing and they are all totally overrated!! If this was done by the previous Secretary of Defense who happened to be black, it would have been considered as DEI!!!
